"Silenzio Bruno", suddenly had a darker meaning to it. The annoying voice in your head was Bruno. But why would he be back? Why now?" The purple scaled boy looked sad.īased on what his mother told him, Alberto's dad's name was Bruno Scorfano. "I don't know for sure, but I think it's him. "So your dad is back?!" Luca asked in disbelief. It's fine-" Luca grabbed his arm, and stopped him again. "Who was that? Red scales? I don't know anyone with red scales like that." Alberto speedily began swimming back to the boat. "Nothing, it's fine." Alberto shrugged it off. "Alberto, what are you doing?" Luca asked in confusion.Īlberto looked at the crimson figure as it faded into the blue water. He was about to follow it again, when an arm tugged him back. Alberto waited behind a big rock for it to started swimming. The scaled sea monster looked around, as if it were lost, before moving again. He made sure to stay out of sight as he followed the scarlet figure. Red scales zipped through the water as Alberto swam close behind in secret pursuit. Go get Albie." He shooed Luca of the boat. "But Signor don't you need help?" "I'll manage. ![]() "Luca, do me a favor and follow him." Massimo said. "I'm sorry Signor Papa-I've gotta go-" He said before diving into the water. He looked at the two, then the water, then back at the two. "Albie, why did you let go of the net?" Massimo said turning to face a panicked Alberto. "I just think-" The sound of net splashing back into the water was heard from behind them. "I think that Giulia doesn't like Alberto." He said shyly. "Um, Signor Marcovaldo." Luca mumbled, intimidated by the large man's attention. "That would be me." He grinned confidently, before tugging up the seine. "Come on boys, I need someone strong with two arms to pull this net up." Massimo said, to which Alberto stood up and walked over. "But why? I didn't do anything." "I don't know, maybe you should ask her about it." Luca suggested. "I think Giulia is mad at you Alberto." Luca said from beside him, on the seat of the boat. Luca gave a small concerned glance before returning to the conversation. ![]() "Papa I'm going to head out and sell the fish." She said quickly excusing herself and leaving. "Alright!-" She slammed her hands on the table, gaining the others' attention. She looked back at Alberto to see him nonchalantly pick his teeth with a knife. Giulia watched her father talk to Alberto. ![]() "Okay 'expert' you better catch a lot of fish today." Massimo laughed. You should know this by now Signor Papa." Alberto smirked, which caused Giulia's brows to twitch in annoyance. ![]() "You boys ready to do some serious fishing today?" "You boys coming or not? The frittatas are getting cold." She said walking in and pulling them both out by their wrists.Īlberto mentally thanked her for saving him from the awkward situation, before following her downstairs.Īs the four ate, Massimo made small talk. "LUCA, ALBERTO! La prima colazione (breakfast) is ready." She looked at the two flustered boys, and deadpanned. "Ah!-Sorry Luca!" He quickly picked the book up again, before, accidentally, making awkwardly long direct eye contact. However, before he could speak, Alberto dropped the book back on his face. Luca opened his eyes to see a flustered Alberto staring at him. "NO-" She said storming up the stairs to retrieve the boys. She thought about being stuck on a cramped boat with Alberto and growled in annoyance. "Papa, why can't I go fishing?" "Would you like to join us today?" He asked. "Giulia would you be able to get Alberto and Luca for breakfast? I need them to eat up, us boys have a busy day of fishing to do." He said to which she frowned. "Papa why did you make frittatas(omelets), we usually have crepes when I come home?" "Oh Alberto likes frittatas, but we can have crepes tomorrow if you'd like." Massimo suggested, gently placing the plate of omelets on the table.
